Part of my cockatoo flock, which is steadily growing. I’ve discovered a love for painting white birds as I shift my focus on more detailed backgrounds. A white bird allows me to use bright and bold colours to my heart’s content, without overwhelming the painting. Yet, I don’t feel like any attention is dragged away from the main subject regardless. It’s this balance that is filling my studio up with cheeky white parrots.
