I am an Australian artist working across multiple mediums, using pigment and texture to explore thoughts and emotions that exist just beyond language.

My work is inspired by the natural world, and by all that I have seen and experienced as an environmental scientist. I spend hours considering how best to capture the beauty of birds, plants, landscapes, and fleeting atmospheric moments.

I am especially drawn to the materials and philosophy of traditional Japanese painting, and much of my practice centres on slow, layered processes and close observation of nature. Through both small studies and larger works, I aim to create paintings that feel quiet and contemplative.
