This is one in a series I'm currently working on that focuses on cockatoos and the mirror bush. I don't know what it is, but I'm adoring the colour combination here. I think the fact that cockatoos are white means I can go crazy with colourful and detailed backgrounds. I did want something less 'biological study' like, which tends to be a style I have a hard time shaking. I think here I did succeed in keeping it looser and more, dare I say, cute.
This painting is on stretched canvas. I'll add a D-ring to the top middle, and it should be ready to hang.
